DSI Energy Sector, a division of the DSI Samson Group, is a leader in Sri Lanka’s renewable energy landscape. We are dedicated to unlocking the nation’s green potential through a high-impact, diversified portfolio. Our mission seamlessly integrates clean energy into the national grid while preserving the delicate balance of nature. Currently, our three mini-hydropower plants contribute 5.3MW of reliable power. Simultaneously, Samson Solar Power is driving our rapid solar expansion with 3.48MWp of operational capacity and an additional 1.74MWp currently under development. By leveraging cutting-edge technology and strategic partnerships, we now manage a combined renewable footprint of over 10.5MW, reinforcing our commitment to a sustainable, energy-independent future for all Sri Lankans.

ABOUT US
DSI Hydro, a division of the DSI Samson group in Sri Lanka, is dedicated to investing in and developing renewable energy projects. Our mission is to unlock the full potential of green energy in the nation, with a deep commitment to environmental sustainability. We strategically design initiatives that seamlessly integrate green energy into the national grid, using innovative methods to supply energy to homes and industries while preserving the delicate balance of nature. In collaboration with the government, our significant venture in hydroelectricity aims to address Sri Lanka’s pressing energy needs. Through three mini hydropower plant projects, we currently contribute a substantial 5.3MW to the national grid, bridging the gap between power supply and demand.
OUR SECTORS
Hydro Sector
The DSI Hydro Sector operates three mini hydro projects: the Kuda Oya plant (Hydro Trust Lanka, 2 MW, operating since 2006); the Werapitiya project (2 MW, since 2013); and the Loggaloya project (1.35 MW, since 2019). These facilities total 5.35 MW of run-of-the-river capacity.
